Tape 30 was initially created as a YouTube brand by filmmaker James Ingalls, under which his various short films and web series were being produced and released. With the later founding of Ingalls & Co. in 2024 as a more expansive film and media company in Greater Cleveland, Tape 30 became the media production division of the new venture.
